Judge Judy for our next United States President

Hear, hear … I want Judge Judy for our next United States President. In times when life appears to be so unfair, watching Judge Judy make a fair amount of decisions is such a wonderful jester to the American people. She seems to hold people accountable. If Judge Judy handle the American government like she handle her court room this country would get in shape real fast.

I love the fact that she stands up for people rights, hold people accountable, apology to people who have been done wrong in this country. She doesn’t make excuses, she deals with the facts and unlike Sarah Palin… Judge Judy is not in her position because she beautiful she’s there because she’s smart.

I think that after President Barack Obama is in office for two terms ( he is doing a great job considering the mess he was left with) then Judge Judy should be our next president. Judge Judy is experience enough to handle the number one position in this country and deserve the opportunity to help straighten up former President Bush catastrophe of a mess that he left this country in. Only in America can a president like Bush run this country for two terms while allowing this county to collapse in front of all of us.

( Thee American People) is hurting bad…our future looks bleak… middle class america’s is the new poor, while the poor is the new middle class.

(middle class America’s) is losing everything… their homes, cars, retirements, stock options, children’s college funds, savings and health insurance and lest not forget their sanity. The middle class families in America take care of this country… what are we to do!

Now the middle class can’t even take care of their families, how are we going to take care of our country.

We are losing jobs, getting unemployment and have no healthcare benefits.

Whoever is in charge of setting up the laws of this country, it is definitely time to revisit the laws because they need to be updated. American’s are losing their jobs and can’t get Medical Assistant!

Now less evaluate the poor our new middle class… they don’t pay taxes… they get food stamps, medical assistant, section 8, Public housing, and childcare. Current and former drug addicts get Social Service checks, food stamps and medical assistant just for being a drug abuser. Lest not even talk about SSI… TOTALLY BEING MIS USED! We the real middle class people need some help …

President Barack Obama is a great start to fixing this mess that we’re in. When his two terms are over ( yes ..we need him for two terms) we’re going to need a strong candidate to step in and continue President Obama hard work and tireless dedication.

I know that Judge Judy can fill his shoes. Let get our country on the right track, I love the freedom of being an America!

What in this world is going on… did parents of the last three dedicates teach their children anything….

I have never in my lifetime witness as much disrespect and I see in this generation.

Young Adult, Teens and Kids talk to their parents, grandparents,

Peers and other adults in very disrespectful ways. Today’s generation doesn’t respect anything… I mean nothing…

They come into people communities destroying property and leaving trash.. playing loud music and hanging around. It’s a said day the no one cares about anybody or anything…

Let’s examine area of disrespect:

I have this friend and he’s having multiple problems with members in his family. His mother and father are constantly calling him out about a situation that was recently discussed within his family.

He, in return, disrespects them by talking back to them and sometimes using profanity. He feels that he grown and doesn’t have to answer to anybody.

Truth be told, you’re never grown enough to disrespect your parents. You have one set of them, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

I’m usually at the top of controversy when I write columns, but it’s been over a year since my last one. I was writing about an entirely different topic when something came over me and told me to address this.

Many of you may already know this but my mother passed away last August and my father passed away when I was a toddler, leaving me here to fend for myself for the past year.

Most people who know me would never have known this tragic thing happened to me but I have never been the type to be down. I look at life as a long road that carries you from one obstacle to the next. There are occasional stumbling blocks and deaths, but you learn at the same time from everything.

I sometimes find myself down because I can’t pick up the phone and call home because there’s no one on the other end. Yeah, I do have extended family, but there’s nothing like mom and pops.

Imagine the world without parents. Who will you get money from? Who will you call for support. Who will defend you? Who will be there in your corner just because of the sheer love they have for you.

I’ve contemplated this article for months and months because I didn’t know what I wanted to say. It’s hard talking about things that are actually going on in your life.

However, when you see people who are not valuing the people who aided in their delivery into this world, it makes it much easier to testify about what’s going on in your life.

So I guess it hits close to home when people who have a mother and father who are alive don’t respect or appreciate those parents in the way they should be appreciated. I am no big fan of lectures, but I wish I could tell my mother “I love you.” I wish I could have a disagreement with my parent. But I can’t. Reality has driven and taken its toll on my life.

I know there are people who are going through what I am, or have been through worse. If so, you understand where I’m coming from. For the ones who are guilty of this, I want you to think about life without that loved one.

Respect your parents, for if they were to die today, no one will ever take their place. Whether you know it or not, there are always people in this great world who would do practically anything for some of the things we are so ungrateful for. Church!

While life continues to move forward (why do so many families breakup)?

Is it because of an affair? Is it because of finance? Is it because of drugs? Is it because of health? Is it because of stress? Is it because of Children? Is it because of abuse? Is it because of in-laws? Is it there jobs? Is it just because they out grown each other? There’s many reason why people break up their homes and families, but is it reasonable? In these current times that we’re living in people have some many reason why they break up their homes and families but are they legitimate.

Lets’s examine these reasons?

1) Affairs – How does an affair affects a family and can a family recovery from and affair.

If a man have an affair he usually expect the woman to forgive him and he states that women neglect there men.

Most men have affairs because they want too. A large percentage of men think that it’s ok to have an affair because

90% of the time they don’t plan to leave their families…(Women having affair with marry men, please here this) Men states when they step out side their marriage it’s just for sex. Sex only… it’s no mental connection! 90% of men never want’s to leave their Wife and children.

My advice to young men is to Don’t start a family that you don’t want to keep!

Your children deserve the best that life have to offer… and they need their father there every step of the way.

When women have affairs, they states it’s because there man stop giving them attention, money or

compliments.

Stop helping with the kids, house and chores, their never home, they work all the time. Women may forgive their spouse if he cheats… but they will never forget.

Some where in that equation a man will pay for his affair.

Men have a hard time forgiving their women for having an affair because they say that if a man have

an affair with their women… then that man have connect to her mind and emotion feelings.

2) Finance – with this economy being so bad… men are losing their confidence, because of job loss.

Women aren’t stepping up to the plate and helping out their men.

Finances are forcing people to lose their Homes and confidence.

Drugs completely destroy families…. drug users give up on there families long before families give up on drug users.

Health problems are destroying families finances.

Stress causes people to lose their minds and life.

Children know how to use parents against one another so that (children) get what they want.

Abuse is not accepted in any form and everyone should seek help…. dial 911.

Extended family input can cause so many problems:

Stress on Jobs destroy families….minus you stress at work and at home.

If you think that you’re out grown your spouse encourage them to get on the same page with you… or get involve with area that improve their skills.

If you love your family then there worth fighting for!

Children and Family Break-up

Although separation and divorce can be the most painful events a family may ever experience, they may come as a welcome relief after a period of tension and conflict in a troubled marriage. However, the period of adjustment is a painful one too. As a parent, you must deal not only with your own confusion and pain but also the confusion and pain of your children. You will also worry about what the break-up will mean for their futures, how they will cope, and if they will still love you.

Points to remember

Research shows that children’s success in adjusting to separation and divorce depends very much on the success of their parents’ adjustment. If you are coping well, they will cope well too. Your biggest tasks are to show that you have good coping skills and to encourage your children to keep on communicating with you. It will help if you remember that your children have feelings similar to yours – sadness at “losing” the family, anger, guilt, fear of the unknown, and confusion and frustration about decisions and events that they cannot control.

Children cope in a variety of ways and will ask a variety of questions. Very young children will want to know, “What will happen to me, and who will look after me now?” Older children may ask, “Who caused this? What about my future? Where will we live? Is there enough money for all of us?” How you answer these questions and back up the answers with actions will be very important to your children.

What you can say

As their parent, you can say a number of things to your children to help them through this difficult time. These things need to be said to both very young children and to teenagers to help them get past feelings of guilt, insecurity and the fear of being abandoned.

The separation is not their fault. Children of all ages often blame themselves for their parents’ separation. They feel that perhaps they caused the break-up of the family because they were “not good enough.” You must let them know that this is strictly an adult problem. Assure them that they had nothing to do with the separation and that they could not prevent it from happening. They will need to hear this from you many times and in many forms before their sense of guilt will go away.
You will always be their parents. Your children need to know that they are not losing the love and care of either parent. They need to know that neither of you is divorcing your children. Reassure them that, although you and your spouse are no longer together, they will always belong to both of you.
You will continue to look after them. Talk openly about your children’s new living arrangements. If you are the one living apart, make sure they understand that you will still spend time with them, that they will still be part of your life, and that you will still be a part of theirs.

What you can do

It will be important to do certain specific and practical things to help your children adjust to the break-up of the family. These are things you can do, both as the custodial parent (the parent living with the children) and the non-custodial parent (the parent living apart).

Encourage and support your children’s relationship with your ex-spouse as well as yourself. Separation and divorce often cause intense, negative emotions between spouses. However, it is important not to criticize your ex-spouse or undermine his/ her authority. You and your ex-spouse should remember that, although you are no longer married, you will still be linked together for many years as parents. You, therefore, still need to cooperate with each other to meet your children’s needs.
Share needed information with your children. Talk openly about custody arrangements, visiting times and other schedules. Respect your children’s right to know about decisions made on their behalf. To some extent, what your children need to know will be based on their ages. For example, a pre-teen child will not benefit from hearing about mortgage rates, RRSPs or fine points of family law, but a teenager might ask you questions about these things. The key is to avoid putting an extra burden on your children by sharing all your personal and financial worries with them.
Keep your children’s routines in place. Do your best to maintain their regular schedules, especially in the time immediately after the separation, For example, both parents can work together to see that their children still get to their Saturday morning hockey practice or ballet lesson. Within these routines, allow them to make as many choices as reasonably possible. Young children can be allowed to choose which clothes to wear for the day and which toys to play with at a given time. Older children can be given the freedom to choose which sports to play and to set their own times for visiting the non-custodial parent.
Keep your promises, be reliable. Your children will need to know they can rely on you. If you have promised to take them on a picnic next Saturday, make sure you do not let other things get in the way. A promise to “pick you up from football practice Wednesday night” should be treated very seriously.
Let your children grieve the loss. Recognize that your children will experience all the emotions that you have, and they will talk to their friends as you will have talked to yours. Allow time for them to talk to you about how they feel, and listen without interrupting. Be honest about your feelings when you are asked. Your honesty will give them permission to be honest about their own emotions.

If your children need professional help

Most children are able to cope with the separation and divorce of their parents and make good adjustments to their new family structure. However, if you are concerned that your children are having difficulty adjusting, do not hesitate to get professional help for them. There are many excellent child psychiatrists, therapists and doctors specifically trained to assess and treat children.

Many community agencies provide support groups and information for families going through separation and divorce. Your children deserve all the support they can get during this difficult time of adjustment.

There are many books which can give you additional information and ideas on supporting your children through a separation and divorce. You can also contact a local community organization, such as the Canadian Mental Health Association, to find out about workshops, courses, self-help groups for single parents, and professional counselling services.

Rachel Uchitel tells UsMagazine.com someone leaked text messages between her and actor David Boreanaz to portray her in a “false light.”

On Thursday, RadarOnline posted the messages in which Uchitel — a NYC club hostess who was first linked to Tiger Woods — lashes out at him for not spending enough time with her.

In one message, she writes: “Just (bleeping) go and be with her … I need you here so we can be together.”

Boreanaz, 40, pleads back, “Why do u act like such a (bleeping) child!!! She is my wife.”

Uchitel tells Us the messages are “not authentic” and “taken completely out of context.”

“I feel compelled to address the false picture that has been portrayed,” she says. “For reasons unknown to me, I believe that someone is deliberately trying to portray me in a false light. These texts should not have been published.”

She says she has “many authentic text messages between David and myself which portray a completely different picture.”

She insists Boreanaz — who announced May 4 that he had been unfaithful to his wife of nearly nine years, Jaime Bergman — “pursued” her.

“The authentic texts, which I have, reveal that David Boreanaz repeatedly expressed his deep love and affection towards me,” she says.

She tells Us she “broke off the relationship” because she “no longer respected or trusted him … I am deeply hurt and offended that anyone would think that I wanted to break up his family. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

In a statement, her attorney Gloria Allred tells Us:

“Rachel Uchitel had a romantic relationship with David Boreanaz. She understood that he was unhappy in his marriage and had been for some time and she had reason to believe that he intended to separate from his wife. He continually asked Ms. Uchitel to be patient and to wait for him. Some of the reasons that she believed him include that he spoke to Ms. Uchitel on the telephone and through text messages from morning until night on a regular basis. He treated her as his girlfriend and also took her out in public. He called her between takes when he was taping his television show and put her on the telephone with his friends and his son. He even stayed with Ms. Uchitel when he came to New York for press tours. He gave her a silver key on a chain to symbolize “the key to their hearts.” He also sent her a video of himself telling her how much he loved her, that he loved her then and that he would love her forever. She has kept the video. Their relationship ended because Ms. Uchitel decided to break it off. She felt that he had not been completely truthful with her and she no longer trusted him.”

Many Different Reasons Men Have Affairs

Why Men Have AffairsThere are many different kinds of reasons for men to have affairs. Forces such as sexual attraction, companionship, excitement and curiosity can pull men toward affairs. Affairs are often glamorized in movies, romance novels, soap operas, and TV shows. Public disclosure of public figures having affairs is headline news because people are fascinated and titillated by hearing about others’ affairs. Men are bombarded with images of women as sex objects in advertising and marketing campaigns. Over and over, the message to men is that the good life includes a procession of sexy women in their lives. Women inadvertently buy into this image and struggle to achieve it. The lack of good sex education and the existence of sexual taboos combine to make it difficult to talk honestly about sex.

Truly speaking, women seem to be better cheaters than men: they are better at keeping their affairs under wraps and generally have an agenda for their infidelity. Some affairs occur because the cheating parties truly want to leave their established partner, particularly when they are married. However, very few married men leave their wife for their mistress! That is, unless their wife finds out and leaves. The Bureau of Justice Statistics states that on an average, there are more than three women who gets murdered by their husbands or boyfriends every day. If your partner is not willing to seek help for his abusive behavior, your only option is to leave or get divorced.

According to a poll of over 400 women conducted by WomanSavers.com, love and intimacy is the number one reason why women have affairs, followed by sex, money and finally excitement. The differences in why women and men have affairs are varied with women seeking emotional fulfillment and most men seeking sexual fulfillment.

1. More sex (sometimes due to lack of sex in their relationship)

2. Sexual variety through different partners or different sexual experiences

3. Too boost their ego to feel special or still attractive to the opposite sex

4. For the thrill of the chase

7. Revenge (to get back at their partner for one reason or another)

8. A feeling of entitlement (the belief they are entitled because they work hard or are the bread winner)

There is no such thing as a perfect affair. Keeping an on-going affair is a juggling act of covering up lies, explaining time away, and dealing with associated guilt feelings. The cheater becomes consumed by guilt and sometimes lashes out even more at their partner. If you are involved in an affair, respect yourself and your partner enough to get out.

Arizona’s New “Immigration” Law

The Governor of Arizona signed a bill into law that is designed to aid in fighting the crime problems in the state. But instead of seeing the law in the light it was meant, may are taking exception and claiming the new law is a license for racial profiling by law enforcement officials.

There is not a law enforcement agency in the world that does not use at least some form of racial profiling when searching for criminals; especially when they start giving descriptions of the people they wish to question or apprehend. Stand by and listen to any everyday conversation and you will hear one person describe another in terms of race and or ethnic group.

As for the rights of the residents in Arizona, if a person is in the state legally there should be no problem with showing an ID, at least a driver’s license. Every time I ride the local bus system I have to show my ID; does this mean the metro service is participating in discrimination or racial profiling? What they are doing is making sure I am not breaking a law of the metro service. By the same token, the state of Arizona wishes to insure its residents are not breaking any laws. The state knows that there are quite a number of residents in the state who are there illegally and wishes to attempt to weed out at least some of the illegal residents who are causing a severe strain on the state budget.

Several years ago while traveling overseas I was required to carry my ID at all times; again there was no intent of discrimination or racial profiling, only a matter of safety.

The nation has been screaming about wanting some form of immigration reform and stemming the flow of undocumented people crossing the border; yet when a Governor makes the attempt to do so the nation breaks out in an uproar crying foul. The main argument against any form of reform is that the United States is a nation of immigrants. This may be true, but they did not do so skulking across the border into the country.

In 1640 one of my ancestors captained a boat filled with people looking to make a new start in the “New World”. When Europeans first began making the foray into the land that would become America, the Native tribes already here were happy to share since there was plenty. In those days rulers saw it as their God given right to claim any land they “discovered” as their own. Those “rights” no longer apply and rulers have learned (hopefully) the error of their ways. Once the New World became a nation of its own and the country expanded rules were put into place to help stem the flow of “new” residents to prevent overcrowding. While this may be a nation of immigrants, they did so in a legal manner, have learned the language of the nation, and helped to build the nation.

With the continual influx of “illegal workers” citizens have lost jobs, crime is on the rise in border states, and governments cannot keep up with the demand by non-tax paying residents for basic services.

It is said that men pass over them for women of other race.

It is said black women are controlling….

We’ve all heard the comments about black women.

It’s time to examine the angry black man….

Angry black men think that the world cheat them out of every thing, they blame everyone for all there mishaps.

Now we’re not talking about all black men … just the angry one’s.

We’re talking about the ones that think that every thing belong to them…. we’re talking about the ones that did everything by themselves.

We’re talking about the ones that treat black women terrible and think they deserve it… IF IT’s YOU,

Angry Black Men: The Psychopathology And Its Perturbations On The Black Family

Beginning any controversial piece of literary discourse can be a daunting task. Equally challenging is tackling a taboo subject area which can be exhilarating, as one grapples with the issues that are so pertinent to the thesis you are trying to build – in order that it may have structural integrity. The concept of “Angry Black Men” is a work under construction. It is the title of a book which is currently in manuscript form and will be due out for publication around the autumn of 2010.

The BU Family has got (firsthand) the opportunity to debate rigorously (no holds barred) how this postmodern phenomenon is affecting the Black Family and how this psychopathology can be contained and managed through a variety of remedial interactions and recommendations.

But what is anger? Anger is a natural emotion that affects us all at some point. But for some people, anger can get out of control and cause problems with family relationships, friendships, work and even the law.

It is a scientifically proven fact that intergenerational transmission of social, cultural, moral, philosophical and spiritual capital has produced inequalities across the periphery of the Black family and any attempt at a one-sided explanation of the issues which focus just on social relations or culture or discourse is in itself radically incomplete at the least and copiously sterile at worst.

Some sociologists argue that – “the inequalities in resources and opportunities themselves have little or nothing to do with the moral worth or merit of individuals but they have a major impact on the possibility of achieving goods which are valued and which bring recognition and self-respect” (Sayer 2005). It is with this issue of self-respect which is at the heart of the problem with Black men.

In the United States (where I am currently doing some research) the conceptual theory of the “Black Youth Bulge” is an epiphenomenon of late 20^th century “strategic demography” which looks at population characteristics such as age, ethnicity, geographic location and numbers to help locate terrorist or criminal threats.

In Britain, pilot studies are looking at how social measures including areas of social policy can impact on a growing segment of the young Black population who are increasingly disillusioned by the structural inefficiencies created by a closed class system that undermines upward mobility and limits social progress amongst ethnic minorities with the determinant results being – hate, anger and violence.

Our young Black men vigorously opine that it is their right to be angry given what they are up against within the system. This psychopathology which was elucidated by social historian Herbert Moller’s 1968 article “Youth as a Force in the Modern World” in Comparative Studies in Society and History argues that “although the individual ‘age curves’ of psychopathy (or ‘sociopathy’) assume a variety of shapes, all manifestations of this personality disorder – from ‘wild oats’ behaviour, excessive self-assertion and pugnacity to criminal acts – are predominantly correlated with youth. It follows that primitive tendencies and psychopathic behaviours can be expected to increase in any population commensurately with its youthfulness.”

Today, over 7 million people in the US are behind bars, on parole, probation, or otherwise under supervision by the criminal justice system. Two-thirds of prisoners are Black or Latino – groups that comprise just over one-fifth of the population as a whole, while almost half of Americans live in poverty and the greater percentage ratio is amongst African Americans. These disparaging social statistics are contributing factors to the climate of hate and anger so prevalent in America.

In Britain according to a 2003 Home Office Study suggest that “1 in every 100 Black British adults is now in prison”. The number are however much higher given the fact that foreign Blacks also occupy British jails in increasing numbers due to immigration, drugs and other transnational crimes.

It is undeniable that the psychopathology of angry black men is wrapped up in the historical legacy of colonialism, slavery and injustice – something which 400 years has not been able to completely eradicate, no matter how prosperous, affluent or technologically savvy we have become. The scars of such historical pain still bear that psychic imprint upon the psyche of the Black man, bearing fruit in the form of gang & domestic violence, the YOB culture and increasing incidences of Black on Black crime and violence.

Anger unmistakably damages personal relationships. These relationships are often the ones you least want to lose. The target is usually spouses, children, co-workers, and friends. Actions often taken under intense anger are regretted after the damage is done. The Bible reminds us that “the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God” and even though we can get angry, we must not sin. The difficulty is in balancing these two extremes and even for the most astute amongst us – the challenge proves too great.

The conclusion is as W.E. DuBois reminds the Black man – “The Negro is a sort of seventh son, born with a veil, and gifted with second-sight in this American world — a world which yields him no true self-consciousness, but only lets him see himself through the revelation of the other world. It is a peculiar sensation, this double-consciousness, this sense of always looking at one’s self through the eyes of others, of measuring one’s soul by the tape of a world that looks on in amused contempt and pity.

We must break this generational pattern which still affects us all…

Why do women Cheat in Relationships

Real Women Don’t Cheat:

Real women will be honest if they won’t out of a relationship.

they will let their partner know… this isn’t working… they will try therapy.

They will try saving their relationship.

That’s what real Women do!

Why do women Cheat in Relationships

Sexual Dissatisfaction
If you want to know why do women cheat on their husbands, the reason could be less satisfying sex or a decreased frequency of sex. A few years post marriage, especially, when the couple has children, romance and sex can fly right out of the window. A sexually dissatisfied woman is bound to look elsewhere to satisfy her needs and thus, can end up having an affair.

Thrill
Many genuine, simple and basically good guys often face a situation wherein their partners cheat on them. So why do women cheat on good men? For the simple reason that they miss the thrill and excitement of being in a relationship with a Casanova. A good guy can sometimes be too simple for the woman’s choice, who may otherwise enjoy the ups and downs of being in a relationship with a man who is hard to get and pin down.

Revenge
Many men are curious and want to know do women cheat more than men? Well, a man who is cheating, needs a partner in crime, right? So, women, just like men, are prone to cheating. Their reasons for cheating although might be different. A woman whose trust has been broken by a man, maybe he has cheated on her with her best friend or he has blown all the money which the couple might have saved, might instigate the woman to cheat on him. Do all women cheat on being betrayed? It is something that can not be generalized, but is possible in many cases. Read more on relationship issues.

Lack of Intimacy
The most common reason behind why do women cheat on their boyfriends is lack of intimacy between the couple. If the man in her life fails to appreciate her or takes her for granted or ignores her at times and places more value on his friends, the woman might start looking elsewhere. All women have an innate need to feel emotionally connected with somebody, and if her partner is unable to be that person, the woman might seek solace else where.

End the Relationship
Another very common reason which makes women cheat on their spouses is that they want to end the relationship, and find an easy way out of doing that, i.e by cheating on their partners.

This one is near and dear to my heart….. I worked for the Comcast Family for 11 years. I was shocked to wake up Sunday morning to find out that one of my fellow co-workers was murder in his own community. Our economy is in a state of despair meaning were all in the same boat! I can’t believe the lack of compassion that people have for one another. These murders never bother to stop and think. Look into the community we all are suffering, barely making ends meet. Yet they (criminals) choose to think that we (the poor/middle class people have something) For the record criminals we have nothing. Absolutely nothing! Our struggles are harder

than your. Were trying to survive the legal way.

FOR THE RECORD CRIMINALS IF WE LIVE OR WORK INNER CITY AREA’S WE HAVE NO MONEY!

IF WE LIVE IN THE COUNTY AREA’S WE GAVE ALL OUR MONEY TO THE MORTGAGE COMPANIES – WE HAVE NO MONEY!

THIS ECONOMY IS BAD WE HAVE NO MONEY!

Don’t shoot I want to live!

While this was a horrible winter in Maryland, Summer is fast approaching after a long winter night. Everyone will come out an enjoy the nice weather. Please remember to be kind to your neighbor, friends and family. Please remember violence isn’t necessary.

Our kids want to grow up, like God gave you the opportunities to grow up. Don’t shoot kids want to live, leave any and all crime out of Baltimore and every state in the world. Kids deserve to be happy and to have the opportunity to have fun, they don’t deserve to be hit by stray bullets and gang violence. Martin Luther King and Malcolm fought for us to have freedom and rights to live.

Please live their dreams! They died for the rights for black people to live nicely.

Let our kids live!

There many neighborhoods in Baltimore the average person would runaway from at first sight. For example; The South Baltimore district. In a lot of these neighborhoods, parents cringe at the thought of raising their children in. What is Baltimore really? Baltimore is much more than what the viewers of The Wire actually get to see.

A small city that masquerades as a big one, Baltimore is a historical city. Row homes fill its landscape, along with statues of all of the city’s greats. People like Billie Holiday, Babe Ruth and Edgar Allen Poe, etc. Visitors come for across the world to visit the cities infamous Inner Harbor and other historical sites. Across the city’s skyline, cranes can be seen for miles as the everyday work of new city development are taking place. Business professional crowd the streets of Downtown Baltimore trying to avoid morning and evening rush hours. People crowd the public transportation, all with different destinations.

Like many others, the city has a diverse background. There are many different nationalities and races all mixed in to this small city. The city is home to many colleges and universities. Schools like Morgan State University, Coppin State University, John Hopkins, and Loyola, etc. One would probably believe that this is a great place to live. Baltimore has a lot to offer some one who is in search of a career. Underneath this facade, there is a very large problem.

Surrounding Baltimore’s beautiful skyline are neighborhoods are the separated only by street signs. Like most neighborhoods, Baltimore neighborhoods are divided by district. They are in sections: north, south, east and west. Between Baltimore is also divided by sub-sections: northwest, south-west, north- east, and south-east. Depending on what neighborhood a person lives in, determines what type of life-style one encounters. There are several areas in Baltimore that are very desirable to live in for the average new comer.

About Don’t Shoot Minneapolis

We know that the issue of urban violence is complex. For sustained change to occur, it will take a broad, multi-layered approach that uses innovative strategies to impact public policy, increase resources, influence media, and, ultimately, change individual behavior.

Understanding these complex and dire circumstances impacting parts of the city, the Minneapolis City Council recently passed a resolution as a local call to action on the issue and it states: Homicides are the leading cause of death for Minneapolis residents between 15 and 24 years. The 65 deaths by homicide among persons in this age group between 2002 and 2004 were more than 4 times higher than motor vehicle deaths (at 15) and accidental deaths (at 14).

And looking at it from one Northside neighborhood’s perspective, the statistics get more compelling. Between August 5th & 11th (one week’s time) in the Northside’s 4th precinct, we saw: 3 homicides—8 people shot—56 reported shots fired.

How can we, as community members, take responsibility for building partnerships and creating the change we so desperately need? Working in sync with the City of Minneapolis’s Youth Violence Prevention Blueprint, a group of committed partners are suggesting a set of coordinated, innovative strategies that can lead to changes in individual behaviors. This kind of community re-education is the bedrock of a successful public health campaign.

Example of public health strategies will include:

NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center Behavioral Health Clinic will intensify its response to families in the North and Near North areas who have been traumatically impacted by gun violence by providing a free initial screening (with transportation).

We will engage all public health departments which have, or should have, the crisis in the North Minneap- olis community in their operational purview to connect them to impacted families.

As part of this coordinated effort, a neighbor-to- neighbor campaign will be implemented to create and sustain a community norm that will not allow violence to thrive. The “Don’t Shoot… I Want to Live” community campaign will be launched initially in North Minneapolis where violence has been the greatest and will draw from proven corporate marketing principles of new habit formation. Our strategy here is to utilize habit formation techniques to create new ways of thinking and generate different outcomes for communities that have been experiencing traumatic loss due to gun violence.

The following components will be included in the campaign:

Neighbor to neighbor marketing
Utilizing the faces and voices of neighbors on the Northside – from young children to our elders – we will create a series of marketing tools including buttons, billboards, bus benches/shelters, posters, lawn signs, door-to-door flyers, and bumper stickers. These materials, depicted in mock-up form here, will include the faces of actual people living on the Northside who want to stand up for the life of our community.

The goal of the marketing will be to saturate the visibility of these tools in a geographically defined area on the Northside where the violence is worst, to have the greatest impact on behavior. In this area, during the height of the campaign, you will see faces of the neighbor down your block, children at a bus stop, youth on the street corner, business owners in the community, people at their place of worship… all saying with one voice, “Don’t Shoot… I Want to Live!”

Radio and cable initiatives
The same people depicted on the print materials will also be given voice through, yet to be determined, radio and cable presence. Utilizing the local media outlets, the personal stories of loss from violence as well as vision for a transformed community will be portrayed.

Youth to Youth – School-based interventions
The campaign will be taken directly to youth in the community through schools. Classroom presenta- tions, printed materials, and a youth-focused video will be brought to Northside schools. The primary vehicle for these messages will be youth themselves. Through Northside Youth StandUp! and Girls in Action, two initiatives on the Northside developing leadership among youth, youth will lead the way in encouraging their peers to say “no” to violence and “yes” to opportunities for a positive future.

Closing Schools is their a hidden agenda

These officials in Baltimore City have straight lost their mines. Closing down schools as if children don’t have enough problems.

why close down a school?

The average size of a child class room in the Netherlands is 13 to 15 students. Their Students speak multiple languages fluently.

Netherlands elementary student is as intelligent as a senior high school student in Baltimore. Don’t close down the school make the class room sizes smaller, update the Teachers skills and update the school environment.

You may ask where are you suppose to get the money?

I say we (the citizens pay taxes) if that’s not enough let first start by cutting salary’s of the officials of Baltimore you’re overpaid for the lousy job that you do? Second place to look is the prison system, far too much money is spent there.

We can eliminated free College education for prisoners, our children don’t get a free college education an why should prisoner get free educations, especially the lifer. Prisoner have far to many rights to be in jail ( they’re punish), we can do a lot of trimming there.

Next lest talk about the Drug abuser they have a lot of freebies as well, free food stamps (why they sell them) free checks (why they spend 75 to 100 percent of the money on drugs) free Housing mostly ends up drug housing in residential neighborhoods.

Official leaders in Baltimore City with all of your education seems to have no common sense, you can’t see pass your degree’s.

Pay attention to the environment, pay attention to the neighborhoods, educate our children. Stop taking important things from them and giving to prisoners and drug abuser. You have taken their rec center, you’ve taken their libraries and now you’re taken

their educations (schools). I just don’t know what have gotten into the hearts of these officials, you have forgotten how to run you’re

city. Your children are looking at you thinking these officials are very educated and very stupid! Why do I need a higher education just to grow up and act like them.

Word on the street is most of the poverty neighbor in Baltimore City is that the officials is running these neighborhoods like a

concentration camp.

What’s the agenda are you planning to sell the property that these schools set on, So that expense houses can be built on them. a new prison system or another training camp.

I don’t expect a reply because these officials don’t think we (the people) desire one!
